1. INDEPTH receives $17 million Gates Foundation Grant to establish the Malaria Clinical Trials AllianceWe are delighted to inform of our success in securing a $17 million Gates Foundation grant to establish the Malaria Clinical Trials Alliance (MCTA) which will provide training and technical assistance to research centres in nine countries across Africa, and to help leverage the capacities of INDEPTH to strengthen global research and development activities targeting malaria.

2. New Employment Opportunities at the INDEPTH Secretariat in Accra, Ghana
The INDEPTH Network Secretariat has published opportunities for employment. 3. Sixth INDEPTH AGM - A few months away INDEPTH will hold its 6th Annual General and Scientific Meeting (AGM) on 18-23 September 2006 at the Hotel Palm Beach in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The AGM will be organised on behalf of INDEPTH by the network’s four member sites in Burkina Faso: Nouna, Ouagadougou, Oubritenga and Sapone.
